We are dedicated to assisting you on your credit recovery journey. Please review the following important information carefully and follow the necessary steps to ensure a smooth process.

For Debt Review Removal (C/D3 Status):

 We will remove you from Debt Review provided you are not owing any fees to the current Debt Counsellor on record.

It is crucial for you to continue making payments to your credit providers. You need to request a Form17.W from your current debt counsellor to stop any debit orders and halt the debt review process. This prevents you from reaching court stages and being placed on a D4 status, which requires settling all debts under the debt review process to exit Debt Review.

If you have trouble obtaining the Form17.W, we have attached an email template on the next page of this letter for you to copy, adjust, paste and send to your current debt counsellor.

We will compile your legal pack which you can take to court by making use of your own attorney or use our panel of attorneys at a discounted cost, where you won't need to appear in court.

Please do not conduct any credit checks or apply for any type of credit during the entire process, as it may affect our services.
Please note that the services will be rendered in reliance on the facts, information, and documentation provided by you to Legacy Debt Solutions. You understands that the NCR Debt Help System may be intermittently unavailable and you therefore undertake to provide information regarding your current credit standing that is true, accurate, complete, and up to date. It is important for you to promptly notify Legacy Debt Solutions of any changes to such information for the duration of the engagement

Cancellations:

Cancellations must be given in writing and emailed to clientservices@legacydebtsolutions.co.za, 10 working days before the debit order Debi – Check tracking date or debit date. If we debit any amount from your account, no refunds will be provided, however, we can cancel future debits and your process. Please remember, you are obligated to pay our non-refundable admin, application, and assessment fee of R1750, including VAT.

Debt Counsellor.

Dear [Debt Counsellor's Name],

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to formally request the issuance of a Form 17.W and the transfer of my debt review process

to a new debt counsellor. Despite my previous communications, I have not yet received the necessary

documentation and cooperation from your end.

Please note that this transfer request is in accordance with the National Credit Act, and as such, it is

imperative that the necessary documents and cooperation be provided without further delay.

Specifically, I require the following:

Form 17.W: Indicating the withdrawal of my debt review process under your management.

Letter of Transfer: Facilitating the seamless transition of my debt review process to the new debt

counsellor.

Should I not receive the requested documentation and your cooperation by [specific deadline, e.g., 7

days from the date of this email], I will have no option but to escalate this matter to the National Credit

Regulator (NCR) for intervention and resolution.

I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and look forward to your prompt

response.
